How Long Does The Process Take?
In normal online classes, you have to work for a semester, then get your credentials the month afterwards-- normally, at a minimum, a 4 month process, on average 9 months, and sometimes a year or longer!
At PSU, you get MUCH more, MUCH faster. Your course goes out to your email within 2 business days (click HERE if you didn't find it). Although there is no time limit or deadline on return of your exam(s), most enrollees get their certification within 4 weeks of enrollment AND your enrollment date is grandfathered back to the date you ordered. Once your exam is in your certs are validated but you NEVER lose your grandfathering date. This is important with many government regulations coming late 2009-- you will be protected against them with your credentials from your ORDER date, NOT the day you get your cert(s)!
While you are waiting for your exam to be corrected or cert generated, don't worry if you haven't heard back-- we ARE working behind the scenes on enrolling you in your association, setting up trade references and wholesale accounts, validating your certs, ID's, badges, etc. and enrolling you in many other programs, from bonds to advanced credentialing. You DO NOT have to sit for any exam we sponsor for bonding or associations-- your cert bypasses that process from the date of your order, and bonding validation is INCLUDED with your cert.
If you are a a soldier taking your courses overseas evenings or weekends, or a handicapped individual taking them slowly, do NOT worry, as you have no limit on completion, but WILL both get your cert, and be grandfathered for completion as of the date of your purchase/ enrollment. If you are making time payments, you are STILL grandfathered as of the date of your first payment.
