Do I Need to Sit for a Separate Association Exam for Designated Membership?
Absolutely not! When you receive your PSU credentials, you are automatically enrolled for 90 days in your professional association, and your Letter Designation is for life. For example the AAGSR (American Association of Gunsmiths and Reloaders), PMIAA, LCIAA, LPCAA and over 100 other professional associations require members to "sit" for an exam at Kaplan or another local testing center, in order to put "John Smith, AAGSR" after their name, on their business cards, in their State and City licensure, on badge and other ID's, etc.
Letter Designation is INCLUDED with your PSU cert(s). We have arranged with EVERY association in which we offer credentialing to accept your PSU cert as qualification and waiver of additional exam sitting requirements.
You can begin to use your association letter designations after your name as soon as you receive your PSU cert. Since PSU is also the largest trade bonding due diligence organization in the nation, associations accept our underwriter's validation for your cert, and bond/ ID if you get one, in lieu of any additional testing.
This benefit can save you nearly $1,000 in Association, Kaplan and testing fees, and is always FREE and INCLUDED with your PSU certification! Even if you do not renew your Association membership after 90 days, your Name Letter Designation is good for life due to your PSU Certification.
